Golden Mushroom - Forest Dancers

This dynamic dancer creates a stunning vision atop these golden colored mushrooms on the forest floor. As a child, I would often build miniature "houses" in the woods surrounding my home in the hopes that fairies would take up residence. I never saw a fairy, but it was still fun to make believe! My imagination still flows into these childhood dreams. So, I love putting tiny dancers in unexpected places, like the fairies I hoped would find my diminutive dwellings constructed just for them. My expressive dancer is painted with oil paint over a somewhat abstract background constructed with acrylic inks, spray paint, stencils, markers, and acrylic sticks. The substrate is 300-lb gessoed watercolor paper mounted on a wood panel and cradle, painted black. Golden Mushroom Dancer is 16 x 14 x 1.5 inches. It is ready to hang. No framing necessary.
